While CMS (content management systems including joomla, drupal, etc) can provide this feature, this will never be enabled for public or private activity on our site for reasons including but not limited to:

It simply is not the place for it, especially the public access website content

Unfortunately, there exist other "not recommended" venues for that thereby making duplication silly

Rarely, does anything beneficial yield from open online discussion and feedback forums. Instead there is a significant risk of placing commenters subject to Grand Lodge sanctions regarding such activity (refer to Grand Lodge social media edict).  In short, we simply are not going to do it here.

Website

Joomla! 3.x provides the core of this site. Joomla is the world's second largest open-source CMS (content management system). Version 3.x delivered, for the first time, what is called fluid or responsive template capability. This type of template provides the ability for browser viewers to dynamically resize their browser page size (within limits). This contrasts significantly to fixed type page templates which cannot be resized at all. Additionally, fluid/responsive pages are more conducive to display on mobile devices vs almost impossible to effectively view fixed page displays.

The template used for our site is a responsive custom design. While many templates can be found free of charge, most are a horrid fixed size type that deliver significant waste of user screen real-estate with excessive and useless borders along with typically annoying static background images.

In July of 1860, twelve Masonic brethren of Hopkinton petitioned the Grand Lodge of Massachusetts for a dispensation for a lodge. On July 25, the dispensation was granted by M.W. Winslow Lewis, Grand Master, and Lucius H. Wakefield was appointed the first Master. The Lodge was named in honor of M.W. and Dr. John Warren, brother of M.W. and General Joseph Warren who was killed at the Battle of Bunker Hill, and one of the founders of the Massachusetts General Hospital. The first meeting was held November 23, 1860 and on June 12, 1860, John Warren Lodge was officially chartered.

John Warren Lodge has always been a small, friendly country lodge. With about 120 members, the membership is small by some standards, but no less enthusiastic. Our lodge has never been particularly affluent and met in a variety of rented facilities before building is current quarters during the 1950's. On at least two occasions, before moving to its present facilities, our lodge suffered disastrous fires. While the brethren lost their physical possessions, they did not lose their interest in Masonry and our lodge prospered.

Our lodge has been honored by the appointment of seven of its members as District Deputy Grand Masters, one as Grand Standard Bearer and one as District Deputy Grand Master, Deputy Grand Master, and Grand Master. Nine brothers have served as Master of our Lodge of Instruction. Our history was expanded with the election of M.W. Roger Pageau on 12 Dec 2007 to serve as Grand Master of Massachusetts for the 2008-2010 term.

John Warren Lodge is an active lodge which supports the community and its members. We supplied the first statewide approved progam Masonic highway signs to other lodges. We administer the John Warren Masonic Angel Fund.. We support the Little League. We have an active Blood Program with the American Red Cross. Organizations in the community utilize our facilities. We have events for our members such as Octoberfest, a holiday party, Ladies and Widows luncheon, a Table Lodge and other events. At the start of the Boston Marathon, we welcome Masons from around the world.

John Warren Lodge and its members have a rich history and are proud of their service to their community and to their fellow men. We have always welcomed good men with an interest in joining our fraternity. If you are interested in joining our lodge, contact our Lodge Ambassador or Master by email or telephone to arrange a meeting
